hi to any fans who were dissapointed to hear about the departure of myself , Chrissy and Maz from the line up.
this is because we've been involved in a new project which we are hoping will help a lot of disadvantaged youngsters in Weston super Mare.
Weston has had a big drug problem for many years and if the music project we are working on with them proves to be succesfull it will have been well worth the sacrifices we all made for it.
im sure you will see some new faces on the site soon as Carol is not one to let the grass grow under her feet!! xx

Well seems that life in a rock band always has ups and downs, does not seem that long ago that Sian turned up on the scene promising so much, such a shame that she decided to leave just when the gig invites had started to roll in. We have been joined by a new Bass player though, we welcome Maz into the lineup (((Hugz)) to her).

I would like to mention Cherry at this point, he runs the Rock and Roll Kabaret in London, he was hosting it at the Troubadour but as he has outgrown the place you will now find him at Madam Jojo's in Londons Soho. He likes to support up and coming bands and has offered us a gig there, soon as we can get the lineup sorted.

That brings me onto the next thing, a replacement for Sian, Any good rythem guitarists / Keyboard players or singers want to get involved with an Oestrogen Enhanced Rock Band? please feel free to drop us a line.

Things still be going well over here at Oestrotowers, with the recent jamming session at the Uphill Victory Hall the 3 of us know the live set can work well (See the Victory Jam music on the music - Jam page), we have also possibly found not 1 but 2 prospective Bass players and also one of them is a singer as well.

We have also met some really great singers across the Atlantic who would love to work with us, hope it will happen, will see if we can do a American tour sometime. But it would be nice if we had a local singer who could work with us. Already got some gigs lined up.

Working on getting the merchandise shop up and running soon as well, lots of requests for a logo on T-shirts and the like, soon.

Well after a good week of music making we can look back with pride at what we have achieved. At the start of the week, although I had worked with both Sian & Chrissie before I was not sure if we could all work together. But after a very productive week we have achieved far more than I expected.

To say Sian and Chrissie get on well together is an understatement, although each is a talented musician they have the ability to feed off each other, the balance of Sian lyrics and Chrissies song writing is also starting to show. Oestrogenix is now greater than the sum of her parts.

Although the Youtube Videos will give you an idea of what we have been creating, its only the tip, we have already recorded the music for a new track, it just awaits Sians wonderful lyrics to be added soon. There is also 3 more 'works in progress'.

We are also looking ahead now, able to start putting a set together for the live gigs that have already been offered. Kira has also got some video editing software, she is looking to do far better quality music video's than the current webcam offerings.

And we have also decided its time to start showing ourselves a little more to the public eye.

Well we have got the ball rolling, Sian and Chrissie been working things out, pleased to say that things been going great. Just uploaded a couple of the jamming sessions to Youtube (www.youtube.com/oestrogenix), amazing stuff, really great to hear these 2 amazing guitarists playing.

I am just enjoy jamming with my sisters.

So I have got plenty of Steak and Ale pies and stocked up on the marmite for Sian.
Will get a couple of large bars of Cadbury\'s finest in for Chrissie.
Got a bottle of Vodka and some other mind bending stuff,
Some coals for the fire and changed the sheets.
All set for a cozy week of creative magic from the 3 of us.

Shame Rogue has to head back over to Surrey but needs must, will miss her as usual. But it will be nice getting back in the studio.

Not content with resting on past glories (ahem) Its as CJ says..a full week of practice and hopefully, recording some new stuff for your listening pleasure (or otherwise). Im really looking forward to working with Chrissy as she has some great ideas and a killer sound! And with any luck we should be able to keep CJ happily supplied with tea, which is an essential part of the creative process for the awd gurl! bless her!

So whats going on here at Oestrotowers?

Well its a sort of regroping, oops sorry, regrouping.
I dont know, maybe the 1st is correct?
With Sian & Chrissie both feeding of each other guitar licks, it\'s so nice to hear them working together.
Next week brings the 1st full on session where we can put some good time into being creative with the new lineup.

Its a fine autumn Tuesday and i\'ve just worked out that the world is spinning a bit faster than it was yesterday!, how do i know? easy! i couldnt get out of bed this morning, so i deduce that the world is sucking a bit harder than before, which must mean more gravity, which in turn must mean the planets spinning faster!! please excuse me.....im blonde!

Just a little note to welcome Chrissie back into the fold, she has decided to bring back her magic to our string section. Chrissie and Sian are amazing guitarists, just hope my percussion can come close to their magic.
Chrissie is currently putting some music to Sian\'s lyrics.
